Strategos Peacekeepers is one of the training and certification arms of Strategos International, focused on the specialized programs that put qualified, well-prepared protectors in schools, houses of worship, and security teams.

Primary Peacekeepers Programs

  • Missouri Statutory Armed School Protection  |  120 hours

    Prepare to serve as a School Protection Officer through comprehensive training focused on threat recognition, active threat response, communication, defensive tactics, firearms proficiency, and emergency medical care.

     

    Program Overview

    Provided through the Public Safety Training Center, the School Protection Officer Training Program equips school personnel and security professionals with the skills necessary to respond to life-threatening weapon events while meeting Missouri statutory requirements. The program combines legal instruction, firearms training, threat assessment, tactical response, medical skills, and scenario-based exercises.

    Legal & Compliance Considerations

    The SPO designation is governed by Missouri state law and requires school board authorization. The Public Safety Training Center, and Strategos Peacekeepers, works with districts to align training with current statutory and qualification requirements. Districts should confirm policy and legal eligibility with counsel.

  • Protecting Houses of Worship  |  3 Stage Program

    A comprehensive three-stage training program designed to prepare church security team members to protect congregations through firearms proficiency, movement tactics, emergency medical skills, and crisis decision-making.

    Program Overview

    The Armed Church Security Team Member Training program equips faith-based security personnel with practical skills for protecting houses of worship. Participants receive progressive training in firearms fundamentals, church security operations, movement tactics, low-light response, less-lethal options, medical response, and ethical decision-making in high-stress situations.

    • Three-stage modular program (3 days, 8 hours each)

    • Stage 1: Firearms Fundamentals & Church Security Operations

    • Stage 2: Movement Tactics & Low-Light Operations

    • Stage 3: Less-Lethal Tools, Medical Response & Decision-Making

    • Students may attend stages independently or complete the full progression

    Legal & Compliance Considerations

    Armed security activity by volunteers is subject to state and local law and the church's own policies and insurance requirements. Strategos advises congregations to confirm legal standing and written policy before deploying an armed team.

  • Certify Others in Defensive Tactics  |  MO POST 40 Hours

    Become certified to teach control and defensive tactics in law enforcement, security, and public safety environments through a 40-hour Missouri POST Academy 1500-compliant instructor certification course.

    Program Overview

    This 40-hour Defensive Tactics Instructor Course meets Missouri POST Academy 1500 curriculum requirements and prepares participants to teach defensive tactics in law enforcement, security, and public safety environments. Students receive instruction in control tactics, handcuffing, impact weapons, ground defense, OC spray deployment, and legal considerations surrounding use of force.

  • Advanced Firearms Instructor Development  |  MOS POST/DPS 50 Hours

    Develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence to become a professional firearms instructor capable of teaching safe, effective firearms handling, marksmanship, tactics, and deadly force response concepts.

     

    Program Overview

    The Strategos Peacekeepers Firearms Instructor Program is an advanced instructor-development program designed for experienced shooters and professionals seeking to train others in firearms proficiency and defensive firearms applications. Students learn instructional methodologies, range management, legal considerations, firearms fundamentals, shotgun operations, low-light techniques, and force-on-force training concepts. Missouri POST and DPS certified for 50 hours of credit.
