I recently had the opportunity to attend the Team Tactics course. I have been in Law Enforcement for over 22 years and this was the most intensive and relevant training I have ever attended. The force on force training combined with the use of video was simply outstanding. This type of training should be mandatory for every department.
Sincerely,

Recently, I was invited to attend a two day practical handgun course at Escondido Police Range. This course was taught by Ron Avery. I wanted to personally thank you for allowing me to attend. It was a very positive learning experience. I have already incorporated some of the techniques and theories into my personal weapons handling as well as instruction to other shooters. I also wanted to commend the instructor, Ron Avery, for his professionalism and teaching ability. His class was not about shooting a lot of ammo. Instead, it was a detailed approach that included a number of unique but relevant topics as applied to pistol craft. Within this context, some of the material was entirely new to me even though I have been a police officer and shooter for over 23 years.....

I have been a member of the Houston Police Dept. for 13 years and assigned to our SWAT Team for the past 4 years. We use Sure Fire Equipment on all of our weapons (Handguns & Long-guns). Most of our operations or call-ups are during the night or in
low-light environments. Until becoming a member of SWAT, I was not fortunate enough to have been exposed to light mounted weapons. Its hard to imagine not having a Sure-Fire light as a standard piece of equipment for any police operation.
I also had the opportunity to attend a Low-light class put on by your company at the 1999 TTPOA SWAT Conference in Austin Texas back in January. The class was excellent and the instruction was superb!

Ken and the staff,
Thanks once again for the opportunity to work with you and your staff. From a tactical trainer's perspective, I could not have made a more wise investment of time. I hope to work with your crew again when you come back to Texas. Rest assured that the staff thereof will be promoted heavily in the classes I teach. Keep up the good work, and I hope you will look me up next time you are going to be out this way.
Sincerely,
Bruce Harlan

We just got our 12Z lights in and had a S.E.R.T. CALLOUT soon afterward. A single cell extraction. We introduced the light to the subject before taking him. Worked to perfection, stunned and blinded, could put up little resistance. Thanks again.

Ken, On Jan. 12th, I attended your Officer Survival in Low Light Conditions class.
I can't tell you how many buildings I cleared before I attended your training.
Of course, I never have found anyone inside. So I thought I knew it all about building clearing, you know "been there, done that." That all changed when I went through my first door in your class. I'm kind of stubborn and I was clearing the room "my way." Lets just say I got my ass handed to me. After "regrouping," I did much better. I really learned a lot being both a good guy and a bad guy. I might even have learned more being a bad guy by being able to see what the actual effect of light can be. I never realized what a great tool I had been carrying with me. Since I attended the class, I changed shifts and now work graveyards. I live by my flashlight. I have had a Surefire 6R for about four years and swear by it. I use my Streamlight for regular stuff like traffic stops, etc. But when it comes down to business, I use my Surefire and the training I received at your class. I am very confident when I clear rooms. I have the right tools and training to do my job safely. I am one of two officers from my depart-ment who attended your class. (in case your wondering, we kicked ass when we got partnered up). Unfortunately, we work on different shifts. I have use the training everyday for various situations. Whether using the light to hold a subject at bay or clearing a room during a burglary. Thanks to you and your staff, I know what I'm doing when it comes to low light conditions. I am going to send a memo up the chain recommending your class to all of our Officers. Thanks again.

I was lucky to have a friend sign me up for the Strategos active shooter class after he researched Strategos. He made it a quest to get in one of Strategos courses.
I was worried about how much information would be repeated in a five-day school on active shooter. My worries were completely unjustified in this instance. The class was excellent.
I was impressed with the professionalism, and humble attitudes of all the instructors. Mark, Wade, Rod and Steve were very personable and able to articulate their principles very easy. The techniques they taught to back up their principles were also very helpful. Their instruction on communicating with your partner, or team mates while working a hostile environment is a tool that I brought home with me, and hope to pass on to others. Although this instruction stands out to me, the class was packed full of great information.
The down time, or lack of, was also very impressive. While attending the school, our transition from one block of instruction to another was flawless. This group is dedicated to increasing our performance as officers to a higher level for our safety as well as the publics. Their instruction will undoubtedly also increase our ability as officers to prevail in situations that might be less than desirable.
The information that I gleaned from the school will be a huge help in my tactical handbag.
