I've been meaning to send you a note for a few weeks now. I just wanted to say thanks for the excellent week of training, and especially for the extra time you spent working with and encouraging me. It was all greatly appreciated. With any luck I will be back in Sioux City next year and look forward to training with you.

Hi Ken,
Just a short note to let you know that your Low-Light tactics are being spread around here-a-bouts with good results. I get these sorts of e-mails and comments from the guys often (a 10-32 being a chase for our ten codes). This is the type of stuff that helps keeps me motivated and makes all of the work worthwhile. I thought it might
be nice to pass along.

I also just did a short class for a Cavalry platoon on Ft. Riley, by their request, since they are going back to Iraq in Jan. They loved the new tactics and have asked that I come back several times if at all possible before they leave. Hope all is well with you and the family. Thanks again for the training.
best regards,

Chuck

Hey Ken,
Hope things are going well there at Strategos. We just had two of our guys return
from the Ballistic Shield Class you and Seal Team “New York” put on and they were all smiles. It looks like everyone on our tactical team wants to revamp our current training curriculum and institute the techniques that were taught in you class. I was wondering if you could ship off another manual to us.....If that’s possible, just let me know the cost. Regardless, we are going to try and send everyone through the class as it comes around again. Good work and hope to catch you when your in Sioux City again.

By the way, how did that low light precision rifle class go? And whats new with the flashlights? Take care.

Ken, I finally had the opportunity to attend the Low Light Instructors course taught by Mark Warren here in Independence Missouri. I just wanted to let you know that I was very impressed
by Marks ability to present the information in an easily digestible format. I cannot speak highly enough about his presentation. Truly outstanding. He represents your company in the best possible way. I just wanted you to know.

From my standpoint it was by far the best training I have ever attended. Not to sound to over the top but I feel I came into the class as a tactical officer and left as a tactical gunfighter. The confidence I now have, from that class, is beginning to spill over into other areas of my personnel
and professional life. Just wanted to take an opportunity to express my gratitude for the class and the yourpersonnel.

As always, thank you for what you do.

Hey Ken,
What's going on? Not much here. The PCR Course you just completed at the Allstate Center in St. Petersburg was awesome. Wow! It was beyond my expectations. I loved the tactics, topics and instructors. You all did a great job putting the material on. I can't wait to put some of the tactics to use on the street, looking forward for someone to resist next time.

I will also send out an email to local agencies prior to your next class in an attempt to bump up student count. I can't believe anyone would pass up this type of training. Just wanted to say thank you and looking forward to you all returning next year.

P.S. let me know if you all need anything else.

My name is Steve Mescan and I took you Team Tactics Course. I am a SWAT Team member from the city of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police.
I would like to take minute to express one of my experiences.

On August 27, 1999 I was returning to the station in a quite area of the city, at approximately three in the morning. The front of Zone 6 station is almost all glass and not bullet proof. While walking into the station, two gunman in a vehicle, one with a 9 mm, and the other with a .45 cal, opened fire on me and three other officers. The first round missed my head by inches and then I was struck in the foot once by a 9mm and then with shrapnel from a .45 caliber.

As the gun fire erupted I found myself, even though I had been shot, on my shooting platform, working the angle, and rather than running from the threat putting them under duress. Though I did not fire a shot, because my back drop was full of residential

houses, the suspects who were caught stated they saw me point my gun out towards them which caused them to flee. In all 29 shots were fired at the station.

I credit the training I received from you and your cadre as to the reason this incident didn't turn out worse. First I realized the back lighting situation and immediately told another officer to turn the lights off. I began to move at the suspects to acquire a site picture while doing so I caught myself "breathing up" and controlling my adrenaline. I knew I was shot, but because of the type of training and duress that I was put under during those three days at Team Tactics, made 29 rounds feel like a walk in the park. I believe that the training I received helped me not react so quickly, that I simply reacted with emotion and began to "spray and pray" out the front of the station house.

Instead, I was able to remain disciplined and turn the tides of the encounter. I would like to thank you and your staff for the training I received. It may have saved my life and the lives of others. I can say, as a trainer, that the Team Tactics Course was the best course I have been to in my seven-year career.

Keep up the good work and if there is anything I can do for you guys please don't hesitate to ask! I Hope to train with you again in the future!!
