
Ralph Joseph Lemongelli III
Mr. Lemongelli
attended the University of Missouri-Rolla and graduated in 1990 with
a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. After graduation,
he worked as an Environmental Engineer for the Missouri Department
of Natural Resources in Jefferson City from 1991 to 1995 where he
was responsible for reviewing engineering plans and specifications
of municipal wastewater treatment plant and solid waste disposal facilities.
In
1995, Mr. Lemongelli became a member of the Missouri State Highway
Patrol and where he served as a trooper patrolling in Cole County
and a traffic accident reconstructionist. He became an instructor
at the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy in 1998, where he taught
courses for recruits and municipal and state law enforcement officers.
The courses he instructed included: Motor Vehicle Accident Investigation,
Traffic Accident Reconstruction, Basic Photography, RADAR Operation
and Firearms.
Mr. Lemongelli is a Certified Traffic Collision Reconstructionist
by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction
(ACTAR) and he has completed numerous training programs in the area
of accident investigation.
January of 2001, Mr. Lemongelli resigned from the Missouri State Highway
Patrol and started Midwest Collision Consultants, Incorporated. As
a motor vehicle collision investigator he conducted product liability
claims investigations for General Motors Corporation throughout the
Midwest. He conducted over 100 investigations each year, which included
interviewing individuals and photographing crashed vehicles and crash
scenes. In 2009 his business slowed greatly do to the economic downturn
of General Motors.
In October 2009, Mr. Lemongelli joined the Cole County Sheriff’s
Department as a deputy/jailer in the jail division. In March of 2010
he became a deputy in the Patrol Division responsible for patrolling
the towns of Wardsville and Taos. As a deputy his duties are to enforcement
the traffic laws of Missouri and to conduct community-policing strategies
for his assigned towns.
Mr. Lemongelli is a member of the Midwest Association of Technical
Accident Investigators (MATAI) and he has served on the board of directors.
In addition he is a member of the Illinois Association of Technical
Accident Investigators (IATAI) and a member of the Society of Automotive
Engineers (SAE). Mr. Lemongelli is also a member of the National Rifle
Association (NRA).
Mr. Lemongelli and his wife, Patty, have two daughters, Joelle and
Page, and they attend Southridge Baptist Church in Jefferson City,
where he is a Deacon and the Men’s Ministry Director. In his
free time, Mr. Lemongelli enjoys lifting weights, reading and spending
time with his horse, Traveler.
