In an effort to let those know that visit this site what the background
of Strategos as a company is we have outlined below our mission and
background within various areas. The ownership and instructor staff
of Strategos represents hundreds of years of “real world”
experience related to the various topics that they each teach.
Strategos was founded in 2002 under the name of Strategos International,
L.L.C. as a Missouri based Limited Liability Corporation. From 1998-2002
the founders of Strategos were previously training directors for the
Surefire Institute, tactical training division of Surefire, L.L.C.,
a California based law enforcement and military lighting products
company. Co-owners of Strategos have over 40 years combined of law
enforcement service, tactical training instruction and consulting
experience.
Strategos has trained over 7,500 law enforcement,
military, church, school, security and business professionals since
2002. Our instructors possess many different types expertise along
a wide array of tactical, live-fire, corporate/church security and
organizational development topics. Strategos primarily conducts
courses within the United States be we have conducted training and
demos in 14 countries all around the world as well, including France,
Canada, United Kingdom, Singapore, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Japan,
El Salvador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Germany and Switzerland.

Simply
stated, our mission is to provide corporate, educational, church,
law enforcement and military professionals the highest quality training
available. Training that is both applicable and based in reality
is critical to successfully applying our training methods when needed.
Strategos International training programs & courses have been
developed through years of “hands on” experience and
client feedback to the ownership and instructor staff. Training
topics are presented in a manner that is principle based and is
designed to be customizable and scalable depending on the client’s
unique requirements.
Summarized the CREED of our training and consulting services is
that "CAPABILITY breeds HUMILITY".
In other words we believe that the more TRUE capability
that a person (OR organization) is given to handle situations that
are otherwise stressful or crisis oriented the more humility that
they will handle these situations with. In other words crisis situations
are more likely to be handled effectively and appropriately if the
end user feels more capable to handle them rather than a situation
unnecessarily being escalated because the end user is operating
from a "fear based" mind set due to lack of capabilities
received prior to the crisis incident.
If we communicate anything clearly through this report &
service to our clients it is the following:

our approach and attempt to effectively serve those who serve others
according to:
Romans 13 : 3-7

servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does

to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment
but also because of conscience. 6This is also why you pay taxes,
for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time
to governing. 7Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes,
pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if
honor, then honor.
Our approach is based on time tested and proven concepts/strategies
and training methodologies. It will continue to evolve and change
over time, as we interact with those who we serve and we find more
efficient ways of training and operating and as mission requirements
and crime trends change.
The format in which we reveal that reality is simply our style…one
style of many acceptable styles. It is a style in which we train
WITH the student NOT “pontificate from on high”. We
believe that the journey for professionalism and measurable, positive
results never ends and that we as instructors should also be perpetual
students.
When we founded Strategos International we initially were particularly
focused on tactical law enforcement and military related topics
and we still maintain an extremely strong commitment in this area
of study. However, we have incrementally added additional focus
areas as time and resources have permitted. We are passionate about
our presentations and endeavor to approach all training sessions
as servants to our clients.
SIMPLY PUT – Our mission to our training and consulting clients
is to demonstrate CAPABILITY with HUMILITY.
In addition to demonstrating both of these traits we strive to provide
a high level of “capability” to allow our training
clients the “ability” to effectively handle
a wide array of high stress and low level situations that relate
to the safety and security situations. We believe that there is
NO SHORTCUT to achieving the skill set(s) required to achieving
these goals & objectives other than combining the necessary
“hardware” (equipment) with the proper application of
“software” (training).
It should be recognized by all that this journey of achieving the
outlined goals & objectives is not a destination that is arrived
at, but a never ending journey of improvements, education and implementations
as operating environments change and personnel behaviors & crime
trends evolve.

is extensive. All lead instructors have extensive experience in
both law enforcement and church security environments. Strategos
church security and safety training have been featured and positively
reviewed in numerous media outlets including Fox News, Los Angeles
Times, Details Men’s Magazine, Garden Grove Journal, Kansas
City Star, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and numerous other media publications.
Since launching this program in 2008 it has received very positive

Strategos has instructed and consulted with hundreds of churches
throughout the United States during this period. Additionally Strategos
church security, safety and awareness training has been positively
approved by some of the largest church insurance companies in the
country and references for both insurance and churches can be provided

In 2009 alone Strategos conducted over 35 training courses for churches
and faith based organizations all over the United States. What this
represents in terms of total numbers of participants and churches
as well as other involvement in faith based training and consulting
is as follows:

- Church participants of courses located in 18 states in 2009
- 350 churches represented from participants in 2009
- 1,400 attendees of church or faith based related courses
- Participated on State of Missouri’s Faith Based
Disaster (Safety & Security) Initiative Task Force
- Governor of Missouri formed task force that is a partnership of
Missouri faith based organizations and the State Emergency Management
agency to provide disaster relief to citizens of Missouri during
times of disaster or critical incidents.

Strategos
has conducted training and consulting in the areas of safety, security
and intruder response preparation for School and University professionals
for the past 3 years. In 2009 alone we conducted over 35 training
courses in which over 1,100 school professionals attended and participated.
Although the preparing safe and secure worship
and learning environments requires unique and specialized expertise
that Strategos specializes in, many of the strategies and training
that we have shared with schools and educational organizations
are also very applicable to faith based worship and educational
facilities.
