Sector Model" (FSM)Use of Force - Force Continuum Use of the Strategos International Force Sector Model. Tuition: End User (4 hour) - $75 Instructor (8 hour) - $150 The Strategos International Force Sector Model: A Revolutionary way of Thinking, Evaluating and Making Decisions that Culminates in Actions while operating in Compressed Time Frames Every Law Enforcement interaction involves a level of force. The central policy in all law enforcement General Orders/Standard Operating Procedures is the Use of Force Policy. The Use of Force Policy is based on a graphic model representing the departmentally recognized levels of threat and corresponding levels of reasonable force. Description: Upon completion of the 4-hour user course each participant will be able to view, understand, and explain the Force Sector Model as it applies to their agency’s Use of Force Policy. Further, the participant will understand Boyd’s Cycle and how it creates an interaction between the officer and subject in every conflict. Participants will be able to integrate Boyd’s Cycle into their articulation of force option selection as well as classifying each use of force tool into one of the ten specified force sectors. Upon completion of the 8-hour
Instructor course, each participant will be able to successfully deliver
the Use of Force end user training to his or her department based on the
Force Sector Model and integrating Boyd’s Cycle as it relates to
force selection in conflict situations. Further, the Instructor will be
able to integrate the Force Sector Model structure into other Use of Force
training curriculums to insure policy compliance in all training courses.
