Strategos
International is looking for host agencies for the 2009 calendar
year. We will be scheduling courses across the country and are
interested in working in new market areas as well as established
market areas.
By conducting a course in your geographic area you can defer a
large amount of the training cost for your agency as well as other
agencies by eliminating travel expenses, per diems, etc.
The minimum number of students needed to conduct a course is 12
paid tuitions. The maximum number of students that we can accommodate
in each of the courses is no more than 30 students depending on
the facilities that you have available that will handle 30.
There are two types of courses that can be hosted:
- Open Course
- The host facility provides the training locations and the
course is an open enrollment for other officers from other agencies;
- Closed
Course - Closed courses are intended for only host agency officers
and all tuitions are paid by the host agency. A Closed Course
can be a customized course to meet a specified training need
for the agency.
NOTE: Completing
and submitting the “Course Hosting” form DOES NOT
guarantee selection as a course host provider. This determination
will be made based solely at the discretion of Strategos International.
COURSE HOST REQUIREMENTS
5-DAY COURSE HOST REQUIREMENTS
Below is a typical list of the logistical and facility requirements
that we need to teach 5-day courses and they are as follows:
- Classroom
of sufficient size to hold the minimum of 12 students and maximum
of 30 students with seating arrangements suitable for note taking
and study (tables and chairs)
- Audio-visual
capabilities, to include TV,VCR or DVD player and LCD projector
that is computer compatible
- Firing
range that we can shoot during the hours of daylight and darkness
for the course that require it (the firearms portion of the
class can be and/or may be omitted from the class if this is
an issue)
- Steel targets
for pistol & shotgun live-fire drills (prefer “rifle
grade” if available), if steel is not available we can
use paper targets and stands
- Appropriate
range communication or PA system
- Building(s)
or structure(s) to conduct paintball and/or Airsoft force-on-force
training specific to the focus of the training, i.e., active
shooter training the buildings should be schools or large office
space
- Open area
to set up about 35-40 barricades to conduct "Force on Force"
barricade drills.
(We will supply the barricades)
- Gymnasium
or Room w/ Mats or carpet for Arrest & Control Tactics Training
(Daylight & Lowlight)
2-DAY
COURSE HOST REQUIREMENTS
Typically the 2-day operator’s courses are not as logistically
intensive and are easier to host. These courses are a very good
way to introduce officers in the area to our training company
and doctrine. For the 2-day course we will need the following:
- Classroom
of sufficient size to hold the minimum of 12 students and maximum
of 30 students
- Audio-visual
capabilities, to include TV,VCR or DVD player and LCD projector
that is computer compatible
- Building(s)
or structure(s) to conduct paintball and/or Airsoft force-on-force
training
- Gymnasium
or Room w/ Mats or carpet for Arrest & Control Tactics Training
(Daylight & Lowlight)
MARKETING REQUIREMENTS FOR HOST AGENCIES
- Send teletype
to all local agencies
- Post the
provided training announcement flyer at local training academies,
etc
- Contact
via phone or email other local agencies
HOST
AGENCY RECEIVES FREE STUDENT TUITIONS
The host agency that meets the above logistical, facility and
marketing requirements receives 2 FREE student tuitions as long
as the minimum PAID tuitions required for each course are met.
Strategos Provides the Following:
We will supply all of the safety gear and weapons for "Force
on Force" training for the students as well as the "Force
on Force" ammunition.
By hosting a Strategos International Course your agency will receive
TWO FREE tuitions to the course that you host.
We will post the course on the Strategos International website
(http://www.strategosintl.com) as well as the top 25 law enforcement
related websites. The point of contact will be listed on the course
brochure so that perspective students can have a local point of
contact with your agency to make recommendations for lodging,
travel, and training locations.
Strategos International is now booking courses for 2009. Once
a course date is established we will create the necessary brochure
and place the course on the training schedule.
